MeetKai Team
Four years after its most recent sequel, Fantastic Beasts returns as a scandal-hit franchise, after replacing Jack Sparrow's actor Johnny Depp with Mads Mikkelsen. The sequel still features a screenplay co-written by Rowling, as well as directing by David Yates, who previously directed Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, Half-Blood Prince, and The Deathly Hallows Part 1 and 2, being a veteran in bringing the magic of this saga to the big screen.
The youngest (and not so young) members of the family also have an exciting sequel to look forward to, thanks to Minions: The Rise of Gru. This film, to be released on July 1st, takes us to the beginning of the story of Gru and his Minions. According to its trailer, we might discover how they became the greatest, most adorable villainous team in the world. Steve Carrell returns as the voice of Gru in this film that features Illumination's trademark subversive humor, emotions, musical sensibility and action.
After the massive success of the original installment of Avatar, James Cameron has spent years preparing several sequels, up to a total of 4 planned for the coming years. Although we don't know much about the plot, we do know that we will see members of the original cast reprising their roles, such as Sam Worthington as Jake Sully; Zoe Saldana as Neytiri; and Stephen Lang as General Miles Quaritch.
Although Marvel's calendar is quite tight this 2022 for both cinema and television, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is, in short, its most anticipated sequel this year, promising the arrival of the multiverse that they have hyped so much in their recent hits (like Wandavision, Loki and Spider-Man: No Way Home). According to the previews, in this sequel we will see its protagonist not only facing the consequences of the rupture of the sacred timeline, but also facing his own demons and doubts.
